How GameDayLocks works

Five steps, no black boxes. Here's exactly how we go from raw prop lines to a ranked board of edges with plain-English explanations.

1. Ingest every line

Every ten minutes we pull the same prop across PrizePicks, Underdog, and major sportsbooks. If a platform moves the number, we see it on the next refresh.

2. Project the outcome

Our model blends recent form, matchup, park/weather, usage, and pace into a single projected number for the stat — independent of any book's line.

3. Find the Best Line

For an Over, the softest line is the lowest available number. For an Under, the highest. For odds-based props, the price with the biggest implied edge vs the model.

4. Rank by edge × confidence

Edge is projection minus the best line. Confidence is how sure the model is. Props are sorted by the two multiplied — highest probability edge bets first.

5. Explain the why

Every prop ships with plain-English drivers, matchup factors, recent context, and the risks that could kill it. No black boxes.

The edge formula

edge = model_projection − best_available_line
rank_score = edge × (confidence / 100)

A +0.8 edge at 80% confidence outranks a +1.2 edge at 40%. Bigger isn't always better — probability matters.

Common questions

How often do lines update?

Every ten minutes. If a book moves the number, the Best Line and edge recalculate on the next refresh.

What counts as an 'edge'?

The gap between our model's projection and the softest available line. A projection of 2.3 total bases vs a line of 1.5 is a +0.8 edge on the Over.

Do you give locks?

No. We surface the best available line and explain the drivers and risks. You decide.

Which sports are covered?

MLB, WNBA, NBA, and Soccer at launch. More sports and prop types are being added.
